Sunita Warjri
Welcome to my academic and research space! I am Dr. Sunita Warjri, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at IIIT Manipur. I completed my Ph.D. in Information Technology from North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), where my research journey into language, technology, and data-driven innovation began.
Before joining IIIT Manipur, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic. My work there focused on advancing Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and AI for research in aquaculture and biodiversity. I have also contributed as an Assistant Professor at MIT-World Peace University, Pune, and GITAM University, Bengaluru. In addition, I served as a Women Scientist-B (PI) under a DST-funded NLP project dedicated to the Khasi language.
My research interests include Natural Language Processing, AI/ML, Image Processing, Corpus Development, and Data Analysis. I am passionate about exploring the intersection of language, AI/ML technology, and societal development. Join me as I continue to uncover the possibilities that emerge from combining linguistic diversity, AI/ML, and technological innovation.
**I am open to supervising motivated Ph.D. students. Interested students are welcome to contact me.
